When designing children's rooms, in addition to aesthetic harmony there are other issues to be taken into account. Such as safety, functionality and comfort.
Especially in this less good phase that we are facing, it is important to create cozy spaces where children feel safe and happy. A harmonious space can impact your well-being and quality of life.
In this post we are going to give some tips to help you decorate or renovate your children's room.
1. Timeless Decor
As children grow up quickly, the ideal is to bet on a neutral and timeless decor base.
Let the “colors of the year” and trendy objects to the small details.
Choose to select functional and comfortable furniture that can be adapted to different stages of growth. This way, you'll be able to adapt the decoration of your children's room to the age, over time.

2. Make the space dynamic and fun
The basis may be neutral, but the fun is in the details!
There are countless ways to make a children's room happy and fun. One is to use wallpaper, there is a huge supply on the market. In this Tangerinas & Pêssegos decoration project we chose a wallpaper with a design with koalas. It was perfect for an animal and forest lover, David. Very cute, don't you think so?
Using vibrant colors in decorative details such as pillows also helps to make the space more fun.
In this baby room we also created a standout wall, with swallows and mini shelves above the crib. This detail can persist in space and grow with the child over time.

3. Make the room more cozy
Putting rugs in bedrooms is one of the easiest ways to create comfort. Let's not forget that children love to play on the floor, and the rug gives them much more comfort and warmth.

4. Define different zones within the bedroom
Planning and optimizing your bedroom space is very important. Don't forget to create distinct areas within the space: sleeping, studying, playing and storage areas. In order to have balance and functionality in the bedroom, it is important to clearly define these areas.
5. Create storage spaces
There are many functional and fun options when creating storage in a room: from baskets, boxes and chests, to shelves on the wall.
For this project, we designed a wardrobe unit for Teresa, who had no storage areas in herbedroom:
